A showcase of my works on Shopee Regional Big Campaign Key Visuals (KVs) from 2021 to 2024. While not every KV was approved, each project served as a valuable exercise in refining my ideation skills and honing my craft. Looking back from my first KV in 2021 to my recent work in 2024, I can clearly see how much I’ve grown as a creative designer.

Unfolding like a cosmic explosion, the spiraling energy and motion highlight the magnitude of the 11.11 Big Sale. Dynamic swirls sweep up Shopee features and a variety of products in a powerful trail, drawing them to the heart of the cosmic event—the 11.11 logo.
Highlights: This is one of my favorite recent key visuals. I had a lot of fun getting the angle and curvature of the swirl just right to frame the 11.11 logo and the key selling points tags. Unfortunately, it wasn't chosen as the main regional KV, so I didn't get to create the full brand guideline. However, countries like Taiwan selected it as their main KV, and it was amazing to see how closely their adaptations matched my original vision.

Option 1: Awaken The Lunar Dragon

The hidden face of the dragon emerging from the canvas, symbolizing fortune and prosperity coming to life. Bold brushstrokes and vibrant paper cut motifs depict iconic dragon features. The calligraphy-inspired logo draws focus, marking the arrival of the CNY sale and a season of roaring prosperity.
Highlights: This was my second consecutive year designing CNY key visuals. This year posed more challenges, as I had to manage two KVs simultaneously. For this KV, I developed the base concept, focusing on a large dragon face as the central element. My colleague and the art director helped refine and stylize the dragon and logo to align with the CNY theme. The KSP tag was also carefully crafted to complement the dragon's nose and snout, ensuring every element was intentionally designed.

With a pair of grand curtains flipping open to unveil the 3.3 Mega Shopping Sale logo, the KV welcomes consumers to a brand new sale season. This bold revelation builds anticipation and excitement towards the first mega sale of the year, and the falling confetti adds a joyous, celebratory vibe.

The KV depicts two rabbits leaping out in excitement, symbolizing new opportunities and fresh starts the new year will bring. The extended twirling lines that form the rabbits are inspired by how traditional chinese knots are weaved together. The chinese knot, which are used as good luck charms during Chinese New year, is also placed strategically in the logo. They represent longevity and eternity - for both people and businesses alike.

The KV immerses audiences in a vibrant shopping city, where high-rise malls and bright lights represent a bustling landscape of official brands. Icons atop the malls highlight Shopee's key categories and features, with yellow spotlights adding a festive contrast to the monotone buildings.
